Midlands Alive Junior Adventure Weekend 2019

The adventure did begin at our Midlands Alive Junior Adventure Weekend 2019 held from Friday 10th – Sunday 12th May 2019 at Castledaly Manor Christian Camp & Conference Centre, Castledaly, Moate, Co. Westmeath.

During the weekend the fabulous activities included Icebreaker Games, Watersport activities including stand-up paddling, kayaking and Ireland’s largest inflatable waterpark at Baysports Watersports Centre, Athlone, Bowling & Quazar at The Planet Athlone, Manhunt, Human Foosball, Disco and Capture the Flag.  Lots of good food and a little bit of sleep!!!

Our times of Worship during the weekend looked at the theme of   “Who am I and Who do I want to be“. On Friday evening through picture each person presented to everyone present a picture to represent themselves. The on Saturday evening Rev. Charles McCartney (Rector Clonfert Group) and his wife Cecilia joined us and shared through a slide presentation who they both were and their faith journey to date. This was a superb input and was wonderful to hear of God’s presence in all of that journey in good times and tough times. There was no doubt that by the end of Saturday evening all were aware that God Loves each and every one, no matter what we have done or where we have been that we can always turn to God and rely on the presence of His love.  On Sunday the group were challenged to think about who they each wanted to be in the future again through pictures. By the end of this session that with God in our lives, great things were possible and that there was a plan for each and every one of us.

In summary a great weekend was had by those that attended and at the close all were making plans for the next event!!!!
