Cathedral’s oldest parishioner turns 100

Our oldest parishioner at Killaloe Cathedral is Dora Benson who turned 100 on 9th October. Bishop Kenneth was on hand to read the letter from the president and hand over the birthday cheque from the state. It was a weekend of celebration for her with family around the Saturday, then all in church on the Sunday morning and the birthday party with friends and neighbours the Monday, which was the actual day of her birthday. So Dora managed to keep going for a few days of celebration. It is wonderful to be in good mental and reasonable physical health at 100. We continue to wish her good health and many happy years ahead.
