Midlands Alive Junior Weekend 2018
Let the adventure begin! Our Midlands Alive Junior Weekend 2018 will take place at the splendid facilities of the Durrow Centre, Knocknagrally, Durrow, Co. Laois from Friday 13th – Sunday 15th April 2018 for what promises to be an amazing weekend of fun, faith & fellowship. So if you are 10 plus years of age and want a weekend of adventure book today to avoid disappointment!!
During the weekend the following fabulous activities will also be on offer: Zany Icebreaker Games, Awesome and Creative Worship & Workshops, Adventure Activities at Kilkenny Activity Centre (kilkennyactivitycentre.ie) including Splatball, Bubble Soccer & Hell’s Kitchen Assault Course, Bowling, Laser Quest and Roller Skating Disco at Roll & Bowl Portlaoise, Swimming with Inflatable’s at Portlaoise Leisure Centre (portlaoiseleisurecentre.ie), Some old favourites including soccer; uni-hockey; basketball in new on site sports hall, Disco, Good Food, A bit of sleep and much more FUN, FAITH and FELLOWSHIP than one could ever imagine……..
The weekend will cost €100 per person or €90 each if more than one from same family. The fee will include all transport, activities, food and accommodation. Return Transport from/to Limerick, Nenagh, Moneygall, Roscrea. Final Date for receipt of bookings is Friday 6th April 2018.
Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting of UDYC will take place on Saturday 21st April 2018 also in Richmond Terrance, Henry Street, Limerick City with refreshments from 2.30 pm and meeting commencing at 3.00 pm. We encourage everyone from throughout United Diocese to attend.
Taking a Leading Role – Part 1
Have you ever thought about becoming a helper at either parish youth club or diocesan youth council events? If the answer is yes well now’s your chance to do something about it. Well, why not come along and join U.D.Y.C. for the first part of our Basic Youth Leadership Course. This will be the first of three weekend courses designed to train and develop our Youth Leaders of the future.
The first weekend will take place from Friday 27th – Sunday 29th April 2018 Django’s Hostel in Cloughjordan, Co. Tipperary. There will be transport from/ to Limerick. The cost for the full weekend will be €80. In order to come on the weekend one must be 16 years on the first weekend.
Diocesan Confirmation Weekend
Just to let everyone know that our Diocesan Confirmation Weekend will take place from Friday 1st to Monday 4th June 2018 (June Bank Holiday Weekend) at Muckross Youth Centre in Killarney. This weekend is specifically for all those for Confirmation during 2017 and 2018. Full details on this event next month.
