The Archdeacon & The Deacon Go Travelling – Day 5 – The Final Leg

Early on Maundy Thursday, the Archdeacon & the Deacon cycled 8 kms from Killanley Parish Church to St Michael’s Church, Ballina with the river Moy and bell-ringing to encourage them along the last leg.    At St Michael’s a service of Morning Prayer took place, bringing their trek around the Killala and Kilmoremoy Group some 65.3 kms, to a close.

The Venerable Stephen McWhirter said ‘We’ve enjoyed the week walking and cycling the parishes and the welcome and hospitality we’ve received on our travels.  The weather’s been kind except for this last small leg from Killanley to Ballina. We look forward to concentrating on the liturgies of the end of Holy Week and wish everyone a blessed and joyful Easter.’
