PARISH READERS LICENCED AND COMMISSIONED IN KILMOREMOY

Four Parish Readers, John Gawley, Caroline Morrow, Amanda Strong Carden and Nicola Padden began their ministry in Kilmoremoy Union on Sunday 29th January.

The licencing part of the liturgy was in the context of ‘A Service of the Word’ held in Saint Michael’s Church, Ballina. The Rector of Kilmoremoy, Revd Stephen McWhirter, led the worship assisted by another Parish Reader, Mr. Clive Moore. Also present were Revd. Jennifer McWhirter and Revd canon Doris Clements.

Each of the four Readers took part in the liturgy. John,  Caroline and Amanda read the Lessons and Nicola led the intercessions.

The Dean of TKA, The Very Revd. Alistair Grimason, who is also Diocesan Warden of Readers, presided at the Licencing and Commissioning and also preached the sermon.
