The Bride’s father, who was due to ‘give his daughter away'(!) in St Patrick’s Kenmare was taken ill on the day before the wedding. Undaunted, he was determined to be part of the wedding service – holding her hand ‘virtually’ from his Dublin hospital bed via FaceTime.
Not to be outdone, at a recent baptism in Killarney, one of the Godparents was in Mexico and so joined us via Skype on an iPad in order to participate and make the vows on behalf of the child.
