At the Diocesan Synod in Limerick on Saturday 24 June members were shown the new Diocesan Banner. This had been designed to show members of the recent General Synod, also held in Limerick this year, the extent and range of our United Diocese. Our Diocese covers all the way from Skellig Michael in the west to Kyle in Co Laois, and from Kenmare in the South to Ahascragh in the North. Some Synod members had no idea the Diocese covered such a large area. Certainly it was an eye-opener for members of General Synod, many of whom came down to Limerick from Northern Ireland and Dublin.
