St Patrick Kenmare will be holding its annual Plough Service on Sunday 14th January, at 12:00. This service is traditionally held in early January at the beginning of the agricultural year, asking God’s Blessing on all who work with the land in the year to come. In many ways, it is the ‘Please’, just as the Harvest service is the ‘Thank You’.
The liturgy is a wonderful evocation of the work in the fields and the care and respect given to God’s creation; everybody is welcome. Why not make it a day out in the Kingdom!
As one would expect, the service will be followed by a Bring and Share Ploughman’s (and Ploughwoman’s) lunch.
