WHEN LOSS AND GRIEF STRIKE
A PASTORAL SHORT COURSE OF SUPPORT IN TIMES OF LOSS AND GRIEF
Grief is a natural response to loss. It’s the emotional suffering you feel when someone or something you love is taken away. In these times of Covid 19, many of us have suffered the loss of being unable to be close to our loved ones, and tragically many of us have actually lost dear loved ones, with the even greater sadness for many of being unable to say a last goodbye, or attend a funeral.
These three sessions will look at the reactions that we can all have to loss:
an understanding of how these emotional reactions can affect our lives, the stages of grief,
the supports that we can allow ourselves,
the supports that we can offer to others.
The sessions will take place on Zoom on these dates:
Wed. 21st April, Wed. 28th April, and Wed. 5th May.
All sessions from 7.30 – 9.30 pm

Celtic Spirituality as part of our spiritual journey
’
The Sacred Path is happy to offer this introductory course on Celtic Spirituality. The course will consider the scriptures, the liturgies and practices of the early Christian churches in these parts of the world, and the aspects of Celtic Spirituality that can be of great value on our spiritual journeys, both individual and group. Among the aspects to explore will be: Creation, Hospitality, Creative spirituality, Pilgrimage, Holy places, Contemplative prayer, each one connected to Scripture.
The course, via Zoom, will allow for small group discussions, contemplative moments, and additional worksheets will be provided by email. When restrictions permit in the future, we will be happy to welcome all participants to Achill, to the Sacred Path, for a Contemplative Day, and a chance to meet up in person.
Dates: Tuesdays: 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th of May, 1st June
Times: 7.30 – 9.30 pm
