A series of summer concerts of traditional Irish music and song will be held every Wednesday evening in Saint Mary’s Church Cong during August and September. A well established and acclaimed quintet comprising Pauline Scanlon, Eoin Wynne, Nicola Joyce, Fabian Joyce and Eamon Murray will provide the bedrock of performers and there will be guest appearances from other artists along the way.
An ‘invitation evening’ evening kicked off the Cong Sessions on 25th July and when a pleasing number of locals and visitors were treated to an outstanding rendition of ballads.
The evening sessions will begin each Wednesday at 8pm and entrance is E15.
